Dorothy is an American rock band from Los Angeles, California. The group is made up of vocalist Dorothy Martin, drummer Dylan Howard, guitarist DJ Black and bassist Gregg Cash. It releases hard rock and blues rock material, with the act also associated with rock, garage rock and indie.

Releases and recognition

Dorothy releases its first project, a self-titled EP, in 2014. The band’s debut album, ROCKISDEAD, follows in 2016. Rolling Stone describes the group as “a band you need to know” and places it at number 14 on its list of the 50 Best New Artists of 2014.

Other uses of the name

The name Dorothy is also used by several other acts, including rock groups from Thailand, Portugal, Hungary and Missouri, as well as a Korean pop group and a number of other projects and solo performers.
