Dodge & Fuski

Dodge & Fuski is a dubstep and drum and bass act from Bristol, active from 2009. The project is associated with Robert Talbott, known as Dodge, and Christopher Allen, known as Fuski. The group is also linked to the labels Disciple and Section 8 Recordings, and is identified with dubstep and electronic music.

History and membership

The act begins as a Bristol duo and later moves through several line-up changes. It starts with Dodge and Fuski together, then pauses in 2013 when Fuski steps away to care for his first child. Dodge continues the project alone until Fuski returns in 2017, and the project then continues as a solo act from around 2020.

Sound and releases

Dodge & Fuski works across dubstep, drum and bass, and related electronic styles, with references to electro and 2-step in their wider sound. Tracks named Pornstep and Go Nuts are singled out as notable examples of their work. The project signs material to labels including Sludge, Rat Records, PLAY ME Records, Safe&Sound, Section 8 Recordings and Never Say Die Records.

Recognition and collaborations

The act gains attention through online support in 2010, reaching more than 500,000 YouTube views and receiving backing from Radio 1, 1 Xtra and UKF. Dodge & Fuski also build a profile through remixes for Deekline, Wizard, Ed Solo, Blatta & Inesha, Funkystepz and DJ Assault.

Related projects

Outside the main project, Dodge is also known as JVST SAY YES in the bass house scene. In 2013, Dodge and Myro start the independent label Disciple Recordings.
