Document One

Document One is an electronic music duo from Oxford consisting of Joseph Froud and Matthew King. The pair begins performing in early 2009 and becomes known for work in the fast-developing dubstep scene, while also being associated with drum and bass, electronic, filthstep and grime.

The duo receives support from a range of artists linked to heavy bass music, including Borgore, Bar 9, Excision and Datsik. Their productions also appear in sets by DJs such as Torques, Twist, Statelapse, Vaski, Borgore, Downlink and Crissy Criss.

Document One builds a reputation for tracks that work well on dancefloors and for a sound that sits alongside more cutting-edge bass music. The act operates as a duo rather than a solo project, with Matt King and Joe Froud credited as the producers behind the name.
