Do Or Die is a Chicago hip hop group active from 1995 to the present. The trio consists of A.K., Belo Zero and N.A.R.D., and is also known for AK-47 as a form of the first member’s name. The group originates from Chicago, United States, and is identified with hip hop rather than the other acts that share the same name.

Career

Do Or Die gains mainstream attention through the single “Po Pimp”, a collaboration with Chicago rapper Twista. The track appears on the album Picture This and reaches number 22 on the Billboard Hot 100. The group sells more than 3 million albums and, alongside Crucial Conflict, helps launch Chicago’s first national hip hop movement.

Line-up

The group’s members are Belo Zero, N.A.R.D. and AK-47. Belo Zero joins later, after Psycho Drama member Young Buk is an original member who never records any material with the group.
