DJ Three is an American DJ from Pittsburgh whose sets draw on house, techno and related styles. He is known for combining a strong knowledge of club tradition with an interest in newer sounds, and his work is often described as broad in taste and flexible across genres.

DJ work

He holds residencies at Florida’s Simon’s and New York City’s Twilo. He also plays guest spots with San Francisco’s Wicked Crew and at London club Fabric. His regular appearances include the annual Hallucination Limited event at Miami’s Winter Music Conference, as well as his long-running Snatch residency in Tampa, Florida.

Production and aliases

As a producer, he works under several names, including Second-Hand Satellites, Three A.M. and Montage Men. These releases cover a range from deep house to techno and other points between, reflecting the same wide stylistic reach as his DJ sets.

Hallucination Limited and Hallucienda

In 2003, he launches the Hallucination Limited imprint as a platform for other artists with similar interests. The label later issues the mix CD Hallucienda, mixed by Three himself, and in 2014 he officially launches the Hallucienda label, which releases the Phono Obscura compilation and Reverse Commuter’s Exposure album.

Collaborators and label releases

Hallucination Limited and Hallucienda release work by veteran and newer artists alike, including Terry Francis, Rabbit in the Moon, Mount Sims, Reverse Commuter, 3 Channels and Butane.
