DJ Taye

DJ Taye is a Chicago footwork producer from Chicago, born in 1994. He is also known as Dante Ahmad Sanders. He comes from the south side and the south suburbs of Chicago.

He joins Teklife, the footwork collective, in 2010 and is described as one of its youngest members. He produces and raps from the age of 11 and DJs from the age of 12. His work develops within footwork while drawing on hip-hop, club music, four-on-the-floor dance music and house.

His tracks and releases use heavy bass and fast, sharp rhythms, with sampling that reaches across current trends as well as 1990s rap, 1980s disco and funk, and 1970s soul. He tours internationally and is associated with Teklife’s wider approach to footwork.
