DJ Stix, born Steve Hunt, is a UK artist associated with acid jazz, downtempo and soul. He is a solo person rather than a group act, and is not to be confused with Deejay Stix.

Career

DJ Stix releases his debut album, Different Worlds, in 1997 on Kingsize. He tours internationally with The Dub Pistols. He later follows that album with 2nd Nature and Soul Communication.

Recorded work

Different Worlds presents his early sound. 2nd Nature is described as a less laidback record than the debut, while Soul Communication moves towards a more hip-hop approach.

Soul Communication features lyrical contributions from UK acts Thee Absent, P.A.C. and Andy Cisco, as well as U.S. artist MCKtwo.
