DJ Qu is the alias of Ramon Lisandro Quezada, a DJ and producer associated with deep house, house, chillout, dance and dark disco. He first gains international attention through his contribution to the “Expressway EP” on TS Records in 2006.

Record label work

He launches his Strength Music imprint in 2005. The label continues to attract interest from record buyers, DJs and the press. The verified label information also places him on Strength Music Recordings.

His track “Rainy Daze” appears as one of the notable cuts on the collectable Unity Kolabo double compilation on Jus Ed’s Underground Quality label.

DJ career

DJ Qu is also known for his DJ sets, which build on a profile beyond his work as a producer. He earns recognition in New York and elsewhere for his playing style, and he holds a residency at HouseDanceConference, a New York institution founded in 1999 and associated with dance culture and spiritually uplifting music.

He also plays at clubs including Fabric in London and Tape Club in Berlin.

Collaborations and commissions

DJ Qu and P Funk are commissioned by Nike to create music for a workout DVD titled Rockstar Workout.
