DJ Pony

DJ Pony is the stage name of Peter Pony Clement, a DJ, promoter and artist active in New York City’s downtown nightlife and art scene. Born in Italy in 1986, he moves to New York at 17 to study design at the Fashion Institute of Technology. It is there that he gets the nickname Pony and begins working in parties as a DJ, dancer and promoter.

After arriving in Manhattan, DJ Pony becomes involved in a wide range of party circles. He works across nightlife as a DJ, promoter and artist, and he also keeps ongoing weekly residencies in Manhattan. He draws on a mix of musical and visual art influences in his work.

Recognition

His nightlife profile includes being named one of HX Magazine’s Top 9 people in nightlife under the age of 25 to watch in 2009, an appearance that places him on the magazine’s cover at 21. He is also named one of Paper Magazine’s Beautiful People of 2009. In 2010 he appears on the cover of NEXT Magazine and receives his fifth nightlife award nomination.
