DJ Chef

DJ Chef is a drum and bass artist from Croydon, South London, associated with dubstep and techstep. Also known as Chefal and Chef, he is described as one of the early DJs in dubstep and is linked to the scene’s home city in south London.

DJ work and residencies

He has been mixing for 12 years and holds resident slots at two of London’s early dubstep nights, DMZ and FWD. He also appears as a resident at club nights outside the UK, including Slam It! in Helsinki, Finland, and Voodoo People in Amsterdam, Holland.

Radio and production

DJ Chef presents a weekly radio show on Rinse FM in London. Alongside DJing, he makes records at Transition Studios, trains as a mastering engineer, and manages Ringo Records.
