DIZZY DROS

Dizzy DROS is the stage name of Omar Souhaili, a Moroccan rapper from Casablanca. He is also known as DROS, short for Da Rhymes Of Streets, and as Mr. Cazafonia. He grows up in Bine Lemdoune, a working-class neighbourhood in Casablanca, where he learns to rap.

Early development

Before performing publicly, he spends four years recording different demos to develop his style and technique. Early in his career, he meets Khalid Douach, known as Dj Key, a Moroccan video director. Their collaboration produces the rap single “Cazafonia”, which becomes one of the better-known releases on the Moroccan rap scene.

Public performances and releases

His first performance in front of a large audience takes place in September 2011, when Don Bigg invites him to a private concert in Casablanca. He later releases several tracks, including “Men Hna”, described as the second single from his album, along with features and freestyles that gain significant attention on YouTube.

Albums

After more than two years of work, he releases his first album, 3azzy 3ando Stylo. He later releases his second album, AFLAM.

He collaborates with various well-known rappers from the Moroccan scene.
