Disrupt

Disrupt is the name used by more than one act. One is a five-piece anarchist grindcore band from Lynn, Massachusetts, in the United States. It releases one full-length album, Unrest, and builds a following through 7-inch EPs, split EPs and appearances on several compilation releases. After the band breaks up, its members go on to play in a number of other groups, including Grief, State Of Fear, Consume, Noosebomb, Chicken Chest and the Bird Boys, The Sqwags, Deathraid, Morne and Superpower.

The other Disrupt is an electronic dub project by Jan Gleichmar from Leipzig, Germany. This project releases material on Jahtari and Werk, and its 2007 debut album Foundation Bit combines Prince Jammy-style dub with 16-bit computer sounds and samples from 1980s science fiction films.
