disQ

disQ is a Madison, Wisconsin indie pop and power pop group with indie rock and garage rock influences. The band is made up of Raina Bock on bass and vocals, Isaac deBroux-Slone on guitar and vocals, Shannon Connor on guitar, keys and vocals, Logan Severson on guitar and vocals, and Brendan Manley on drums.

Origins

Bock and deBroux-Slone know each other from infancy and grow up making music together. They begin jamming in middle school, and by high school they are playing in bands together. Bock recalls being struck by deBroux-Slone’s drum cover of “Jesus of Suburbia”.

Development in Madison

Through gigging around Madison, the pair meet Connor, Severson and Manley. The group comes together from that local scene, with all three described as committed to pushing beyond genre boundaries.
