Diskord

Diskord is a Norwegian death metal band from Oslo, active since 1999. The group plays avant-garde metal, death metal and technical death metal, and is also described as a Norwegian death metal band.

Band history

The band forms around a trio and releases its debut album, Doomscapes, in 2007. After that release, Chris Myhre, also known as Channard, leaves the group to focus on other projects, including Lobotomized. The vacant position is then filled by former Noplacetohide member Espen T. Hangård.

Line-up

Later line-up details list Håvard Østli on guitar, Eywind Wærstad Axelsen on bass, and Hans Jørgen Ersvik on drums and vocals. Former members include Channard (Chris Myhre) on guitar from 2000 to 2007, and Espen T. Hangård on guitar from 2007 to 2011.

Style

Diskord’s sound combines primal aggression with discordant textures, aiming for an abrasive and unusual form of death metal.
