Dirty Vegas is a London-based electronic and house group active since 2001. The trio consists of Steve Smith, Paul Harris and Ben Harris.

Career

The group first gains wider attention in North America when Days Go By is used in a Mitsubishi Eclipse commercial. The track becomes their best-known hit. Their debut album, Dirty Vegas, presents a mix of electronic and club instrumentals alongside vocal tracks sung by Steve Smith. Its sound draws on The Crystal Method and The Chemical Brothers, while taking a slightly more restrained approach.

Tracks such as Throwing Shapes and The Brazilian fit comfortably alongside those influences. The second studio album, One, moves away from club-oriented material and leans towards a more adult contemporary style. It does not produce any hit singles, and the change in direction divides listeners, with some preferring the first album and others welcoming the shift.

The group also reports that a third studio album aims to balance the two approaches, with a stronger return to club music.
