Digitalis is the alias used by Sebastian James Taylor, a UK breakbeat, downbeat, Goa trance and psychedelic trance artist. It is described as his first project, which begins in the early 1990s, and as the name he uses for his break-trance experiments in the late 1990s. Taylor also releases music under a wide range of other names, including Biotone, Chaos By Design, Eight:Ball, Hibernation, Kaya Project, Sebastian James Taylor, Shakta, Soma Coma and Somaton. Shakta is noted as one of his best-known aliases, and under that name he tends toward downtempo psy trance.
