Diffrent

Diffrent is a German producer and artist, also identified as Marvin Schulz, who makes UK garage-influenced electronic music. He is originally from southern Germany and is now based in Berlin. His work draws on jungle, UKG, breaks and bass music, alongside influences from Germany’s electronic scene, and he develops a style that combines those elements with a modern groove-led approach.

Career

He first draws wider attention with his debut single, Live And Direct, which reaches the record bags of a number of notable selectors, including Interplanetary Criminal, Malugi, Marlon Hoffstadt, Sarah Story, Chloé Caillet, Dr Dubplate, Narciss and Dom Dolla. The track helps establish him within the UKG scene as a producer with a distinctive sound.

Diffrent is self-taught as a producer from a young age. His background in the scene develops quickly, and his early releases gain support across club and radio circles.

Releases and label work

In early 2024, he releases A Little Closer on Club Heart Broken, the label run by Marlon Hoffstadt and Malugi. The track receives strong support from UKG names such as Sammy Virji, Oppidan and Notion, and it also circulates widely with radio hosts and selectors beyond the genre.

He is also associated with further releases on ATW, the label run by Interplanetary Criminal, and on Time Is Now.

Style

His music focuses on the energy of classic UK garage while adding a contemporary, bass-heavy and rhythmically busy character. It blends UKG with jungle, breaks and bass music, and reflects both British club sounds and German electronic influences.
