Dexters

Dexters are an indie rock band formed in 2011. The group consists of Tom Rowlett on vocals, Chris Heggie on guitar and backing vocals, Ben Debo on lead guitar and backing vocals, Chris Mardon on drums, and Jamie Harris on bass. They grow up together on estates in East London, and their songs reflect that background with narrative lyrics about difficult everyday life.

Their sound combines melodic indie influences with a harder punk edge. They draw on the songwriting and melodies associated with The La’s and The Strokes, alongside the more direct, visceral energy of The Clash and The Buzzcocks.
