Detlef is the recording name of Greek producer Alexandros Georgiadis. The name is also used by several other acts, including a Latvian indie and alternative rock band later renamed Detlef Zoo, a math rock band from Seattle formed in 2014 after the hiatus of Rooftops, and a punk band from Cologne with members of Supernichts and Knochenfabrik.

Greek electronic project

As an electronic act, Detlef emerges with two tracks, “Maccaca” and “Colo Loca”, which are described as drawing on summer-flavoured and jazzy grooves. The project is associated with tech house, electronic and minimal techno.

Other artists using the name

A Latvian band first appears as an indie and alternative rock group before changing its name to Detlef Zoo. Another Detlef is a Seattle math rock band formed after Rooftops goes on hiatus in 2014; its line-up includes Wendelin Wohlgemuth and Drew Fitchette, both from Rooftops, along with Jared Price from Mt. St. Helens Vietnam Band. The musicians involved have also played in Rooftops, In Praise of Folly and Mt. St. Helens Vietnam Band. A separate Detlef is a German punk band from Cologne, linked to Supernichts and Knochenfabrik.
