Detboi is a producer and DJ from Dublin. He begins in the early 2000s with the Xerox Soundsystem alongside his production partner Speakertreatz, making cut-ups and bootlegs that draw attention from MTV, Erol Alkan and Soulwax.

His first EP, Hold Up, appears in 2008. In the same period he gains support from Hervé, Sinden, Annie Mac and Crookers, and signs to Skint Records. On Skint he releases the Come Rest Up / Jump Up & Dow’n EP and appears on the Count & Sinden Essential Mix and Tommie Sunshine’s Relax, This Won't Hurt mix series.

Detboi also contributes to Hervé’s Machines Dont Care collaboration project, working with Hervé, Sinden and Trevor Loveys. He later signs to Cheap Thrills Records and remixes for Southern Fried, Skint and Epitaph. He also records a BBC Radio 1 In New DJs We Trust mix.

His club dates include Fabric and Eden in Ibiza, and he tours Australia and Japan. After his Japan dates, he completes his first studio album, Curse Of The Voodoo Drums, described as a nine-track LP.
