Desert Sound Colony

Desert Sound Colony is a United Kingdom-based house project working in electronica, house, techno and UK garage. It is described as a project shaped by isolation in the British countryside and by faintly remembered sounds and half-forgotten memories.

The music is marked by melodic, visceral tracks and a melancholy tone. It sits between 1960s psychedelia and club-oriented electronic music, combining ethereal textures with a rhythm-driven feel.

The project’s debut EP, The Way I Began, is issued on New York label Scissor & Thread, as the first release on that label by an artist not based in New York City. A second EP release follows on the same label.
