Derecho is an experienced and hard-working female-fronted original rock band, founded in 2010 in Cambridge. The band has played many venues across the UK ranging from pubs to the main stage at The Willow Festival and the 100 Club in London. It has an online following from all around the world, and had airplay on BBC Introducing, US radio stations and US and European internet radio stations. It has recently signed a distribution deal for some of its material with US record label Delinquent Records.
Derecho's music has strong melodies, driving rhythms and intricate bass lines, with influences ranging from 60s pop through punk and classic rock to modern day music.
