Der KFC
Der KFC is a German punk group from Düsseldorf, active from 1977 to 1982. The name KFC is an abbreviation of Kriminalitätsförderungs- club, meaning “Crime Support Club”. The group’s members are Tommi Stumpff and Trini Trimpop.
After the band breaks up, its members go on to play in other acts including Die Toten Hosen, Family*5 and Nichts. Tommi Stumpff also begins a solo career and later turns to electronic music.
The band is associated with punk, punk rock and Neue Deutsche Welle.
