Deptford Goth is the stage name of Daniel Woolhouse, a British experimental pop producer and singer from Peckham, southeast London, in the United Kingdom. His work sits in the area of electronic music, indie, lo-fi and ambient sounds, and he is also described as an ethereal and spectral R&B artist.

Background

Woolhouse begins using the Deptford Goth name in late 2010, after deciding to combine his songwriting background in guitar and piano with a more electronic approach. He is an art school graduate, and his music is described as balancing acoustic and synthetic elements.

Releases

Deptford Goth debuts in late 2010 with the single Real Love Fantasy, which features electronically treated vocals over blurred synthesizers and a spare rhythm. His debut EP, Youth II EP, is released by Merok Records in 2011. His debut album, Life After Defo, follows in 2013.
