Denim is a name used by more than one act, including an indie rock band, a glam rock band and a hardcore punk band.

The best-known Denim is the project of Lawrence, who is also known for Felt. This version of Denim uses fat analogue synth sounds, bravura and posturing, and pastiche and parody in both the music and the lyrics, with a strong influence from mid-1970s pop rock. It stands in contrast to the more delicate, mood-focused approach associated with Felt.

Lawrence later also records as Go-Kart Mozart.

There is also an American band called Denim, which is distinct from the Lawrence-led project.
