Deniece Williams, also known as June Deniece Chandler and nicknamed “Niecy”, is an American singer, songwriter and record producer from Gary, United States. She works in contemporary R&B, dance-pop, disco, pop soul, R&B and soul, and her music also draws on pop and gospel influences.

Career

Williams begins her career in the 1970s as a backing vocalist for Stevie Wonder in Wonderlove. She later works as a solo artist and becomes known for her success in the 1970s and 1980s. Her recorded output includes material released on Kee-Drick Music.
