Demoraliser

Demoraliser is a metalcore band from Grimsby, active from 2010 to 2015. The group forms in June 2010 and builds a following on the underground circuit through its early EPs, which lead to support slots with Defeater, Bury Your Dead, All Shall Perish and Terror.

Style and sound

The band plays a heavy metalcore style with melodic elements. Its music combines aggressive vocals and a hard, dense rhythm section with a strong sense of melody, drawing comparisons with 1990s genre bands such as Poison The Well and Darkest Hour. Vocalist James “Dex” Dexter provides the band’s harsh vocal delivery.

Releases

Demoraliser’s discography includes the EPs RRR and Conveyance, along with the tracks Bitter Springs, Trading Places and Early Years. The band also releases its full discography for free download. Its debut album, A Living Nightmare, is the group’s first full-length release.
