Deluxe Flamingos are a doo-wop and pop soul group from Chicago, United States, active from 1953 to the present. The group is associated with doo-wop and R&B, and its members include Terry Johnson, Jacob Carey, Zeke Carey, Johnny Carter, Sollie McElroy, Nathaniel “Nate” Nelson and Paul Wilson.

The group’s name also appears in connection with a later project formed in 2010 by Mike James and PJ Davy, which begins as a studio-based collaboration and develops through a broad mix of influences. Those recordings are made in bedrooms and lounges, with the setup gradually improving, and Aviv later joins to provide vocals across the material because she fits the project’s flexible approach. The project’s guiding idea is that anything is possible as long as the creators like it, and the move from studio work to live performance becomes part of its development.
