Delta/Alaska
Delta/Alaska are a five-piece band making cinematic, energetic pop music. Their songs use aquatic, swirling guitars and kaleidoscopic rhythms, and they perform with between one and four vocalists. Their sound ranges from euphoric to fragile.
The band spends most of 2011 working on a self-titled EP that runs for thirteen minutes and contains four tracks. It is released digitally and on CD, with the CD edition reaching a second pressing. Their music draws comparisons with Foals for precision, Mogwai for sonic landscape, and Broken Social Scene for collaborative warmth.
