Deity's Muse

Deity's Muse is a groove-driven hard rock power trio from Johannesburg, South Africa. The group is active in progressive rock, grunge, alternative metal and alternative rock, and has appeared on major South African rock festival stages.

Line-up

The current line-up has been together since 2009. It consists of Wayne "Longbeard" Boucher on vocals and guitar, Sashan Pillay on drums, and Alvin Boucher on bass.

Live history

Deity's Muse shares stages with a range of international acts, including Dead Letter Circus, Rise Against, Bring Me The Horizon, Blind Guardian, Oedipus, Knorkator and Blindside. In 2012 the band undertakes its first international tour, with performances at venues including The Viper Room in Hollywood and The 100 Club in London. In 2013 it plays the RAMfest main stage alongside Rise Against and Bring Me The Horizon, and later performs with Dead Letter Circus at The Assembly in Cape Town and at Krank'd Up music festival in Johannesburg.

The band's discography includes The Eyes Don't See What The Heart Bleeds (2006), New Trends In Slavery (2010), Convergence (2016), Lungs Full (2019) and Ennui (2020).
