Deified

Deified are a five-piece metal band from St. Helens, just outside Liverpool. The group forms in late 2013 and remains active. Their line-up includes Jamie Hughes on vocals, Matthew Pike and Alistair Blackhall on guitar, Tom Simm on bass and Stew Brown on drums.

Career

In 2015, Deified win the Merseyside Metal 2 The Masses competition and earn a place on the New Blood Stage at Bloodstock Festival. In December 2015, they release their debut album, Ascension, which is entirely self-produced. The album receives positive reviews and leads to support slots in 2016 with acts including Exodus and Cattle Decapitation.

During the Ascension period, the band also make two music videos, for “No Solitude” and “Paralyzed”. In 2016, they place third out of 425 bands in the global battle of the bands competition TBFM Factor. Near the end of that year, Pure Power Darkside Management adds them to its roster.

Later activity

Deified begin work on a follow-up EP in late 2016. The first single from the release is “Ironbird”. The band also issue a live DVD titled Snooty Fox Live DVD.
