DeFeKT
One version of the name belongs to DeFeKT, an electro music act based in Dublin. It uses drum machines and synthesizers and is described as making sci-fi-influenced electro. Its releases appear on BFP, Take Over Recordings, Alkalinear Recordings and New Flesh Records.
Other acts using the name
Another Defekt is a Swedish industrial project by Claes Rydberg, started in 1989. Its releases range from sound explorations to more rhythmic pieces, and from 2005 the recording alias changes to Cls/r.
The name is also used by an anarcho/street punk band from Skopje in Macedonia, a Swedish punk band that releases a cassette on Sista Bussen in 1985, and a Czech 1980s punk band that later becomes SPS.
