Def Con One
Def Con One are a UK thrash metal and hardcore band from Newcastle upon Tyne, England. The group is formed by Johnny and Antton, who have played together previously in another band. Antton also plays drums for the black metal band Venom and does so from 1999 to 2009.
The band describes its music as a blend of powerful groove-based metal with a heavy, crushing sound. It develops a sizeable following in the North East of England and plays Trillians rock bar in Newcastle repeatedly. The line-up is presented as complete, with an emphasis on attitude and drive rather than simply recruiting any available musician.
