Deeper Upper

Deeper Upper is an indie rock group from Vilnius, Lithuania, active since 2010. The band includes Evaldas Arlauskas.

Career

Since forming in 2010, Deeper Upper has released several digital singles and built a catalogue that moves across indie rock, alternative rock, synth pop, electropop and experimental electronic. One of its singles, “I am the colours”, appears on the Mercedes-Benz Mixed Tape compilation.

The group’s debut music video, “In the sands of a desert”, wins best music video of the year at the Lithuanian alternative music awards. In spring 2013, Deeper Upper releases its debut EP, Structures.

Live activity and recognition

Deeper Upper performs at Positivus in Latvia and at Tallinn Music Week, and also supports Ewert and the Two Dragons in Vilnius. It also plays at several Lithuanian music festivals.

In 2014, the band takes part in the EuroMusic Contest and wins first place after reaching the final in Paris, which leads to a recording session at Black Rock Studio in Santorini, Greece.
