Débruit

Débruit is the production name of Xavier Thomas, a producer, DJ, instrumentalist and vocalist from France, based in Paris. He plays saxophone and has done so since the age of nine. He also works as a freelance sound designer for several clients.

Recorded work

Under the Débruit name, he releases music on Musique Large. His LP Coupé Décalé appears on that label and combines flamenco guitar, field recordings and other sounds into his electro hip-hop style. He also has the EP Clé De Bras on Musique Large. In addition, he records as part of the hip-house project Kéèclac.

Style and collaborators

His work is associated with glitch-hop, electronic music and hip-hop, with a sound that mixes electronic production, sampled material and live instrumentation. He is also linked with KOKOKO!.
