Deborah

Deborah is a name used by more than one recording artist. One is Déborah, an all-female Mexican Christian black metal band. The group releases The Song of Deborah and Soteria, with the former appearing in 2002 and the latter in 2008. Déborah consists of Claudia Cano Martínez on vocals, Miriam López López on guitar, and Rocío del Moral Osnaya on bass. Their music is associated with black metal, unblack metal, gothic metal, christian black metal, and symphonic black metal.

Another artist using the name is Deborah Fraser, a South African gospel singer who works with Chicco (Selo Twala) and Brenda Fassie. Deborah also sings in Portuguese and contributes several tracks to compilations connected with kizomba, the African dance style. She is featured on Spikee’s “Move the Crowd”.
