Debian Blak

Debian Blak is a UK producer and drummer associated with the Leeds music scene. He begins making music at an early age, first playing violin at 6 and piano soon after, and starts honing his production skills at 16. By 2011 he is described as part of a generation of emerging creative artists in the UK.

Career

He first comes to wider attention in 2009 through a remix of kidkanevil’s Tokyorkshire, which he works on with Airhead. He then develops his sound through solo material and through work with bands and artists across the UK. He also produces for East Park Reggae Collective, and plays drums in the group.

Context

Debian Blak is linked with a scene that also produces acts such as Ramadanman, kidkanevil, Submotion Orchestra and Nightmares On Wax. His work is tagged with glitch, dubstep, ambient, electronica and IDM.
