DeathbyRomy is the stage name of Romy Maxine Flores, a singer-songwriter from Los Angeles, United States. Born in 1999, she grows up in Los Angeles with mixed heritage, with a Mexican father’s side and a European mother’s side. She adopts the name DeathbyRomy at 15.

She leaves high school to focus on music after dealing with depression and bullying. Her early releases appear online in 2016, including “Blood” and “Wonder Boy,” the latter featuring Violet Kennedy. She also works with Los Angeles hip-hop artists Glitter Prince$$ and LePlay before releasing a larger group of tracks ahead of her debut album.

Her debut album, Monsters, is shaped by her experiences over the following years and includes guest appearances from Yung Bans, Lil B and Cuban Doll. She later issues the EP Love U - to Death, which includes “Problems.” Her music is associated with alternative pop, electronic, electropop, industrial, industrial rock and pop, and is also tagged with trap, industrial rock, Trap Metal, pop and alt-pop.
