Dead Frequency

Dead Frequency are a glam punk band from the Midlands in the UK. The group forms in early 2013 when vocalist Matti Fantasi recruits Brady Deeprose, Sam Thorne and James Bourne, the Rugby musician rather than the member of Busted, to realise the project. Their sound combines high-energy pop punk and glam-influenced rock, with influences including Green Day, Van Halen and The Darkness.

Early activity and live work

After a period of rehearsals to tighten their material, Dead Frequency begin performing live across the UK. Their early focus is on stage presence and showmanship, and they play a number of smaller festivals in 2014, including Glastongudget and the main stage at Properstock. They are also selected to open for Andrew WK at his show at Coventry Kasbah.

Collaborations and shared stages

The band shares bills with Me First And The Gimme Gimmes, [Spunge], Slagerij, Old Man Markley, Evil Scarecrow and Sumo Cyco, among others. A debut music video and an EP titled Desire for Fire are also part of the band’s recorded output, with merchandise and music made available through Bandcamp.
