D.D.E.

D.D.E. is a Norwegian rock band from Namsos, formed in 1992. The group comes out of the earlier band After Dark and remains active. Its current line-up includes Eivind Berre, Eskil Brøndbo, Bård Jørgen Iversen and Arnt Egil Rånes. The band is associated with folk rock, pop rock and rock, and is also tagged in connection with trønder-rock and black metal.

Career

D.D.E. becomes one of the best-selling and most-touring bands in Norway. Its catalogue includes 13 studio albums, three live albums, as well as DVDs, videos and compilations. In Norway alone, the band sells more than 1.3 million copies.

The group is known for a strong emphasis on singalong songs and has several number-one hits in Norway. Among its best-known songs are “Det går likar no”, “RAI RAI” and “Vinsjan på kaia”.

Members

The band includes Bjarne Brøndbo on accordion and vocals, Frode Viken on guitar until 2018, Daniel Viken on guitar from 2018, Arnt Egil Rånes on guitar, Eivind Berre on bass, Bård Jørgen Iversen on keyboards, Eskil Brøndbo on drums and percussion, and Terje Tranaas on keyboards from 1992 to 2001.
