Dc Breaks are a British drum and bass production group from the United Kingdom, made up of Dan Havers, Chris Page and Opposition. Active since 2005, they work in drum and bass and electronic music.

Career

Dc Breaks first release on DJ Kid’s label Restless Natives and build an early reputation through support from Knowledge Mag, 1Xtra, Bryan Gee, Kenny Ken, Mace, Peshay and Andy C. They sign to RAM Records in 2010, the label run by Andy C.

Releases and appearances

They release their first EP on Viper Recordings in 2010. That EP includes Halo, which becomes their best-known track. Their music also appears on Andy C’s Nightlife 4 and Nightlife 5 compilations, as well as Futurebound’s Acts of Madmen.

Broadcasts and remixes

Dc Breaks appear on BBC Radio 1Xtra’s drum and bass mix show for Crissy Criss and DJ Bailey. They also carry out remixes for Universal Music, Sony Records, Rough Trade Records, Ministry of Sound, Island Records, EMI and All Around the World Productions, working on tracks by Tinie Tempah, I Blame Coco, Paloma Faith, Example, Esmée Denters and Rox.
