David Guetta featuring Kelly Rowland

David Guetta is a French DJ and music producer from Paris, France, born in 1967. He works in club, dance, dance-pop, electro house, electroclash and electronic music. He is also associated with Africanism All Stars, Men Machine and the Gum Prod label.

Career

Guetta releases his first album, Just a Little More Love, in 2002. He follows it with Guetta Blaster in 2004 and Pop Life in 2007. His 2009 album One More Love brings wider mainstream success and includes “When Love Takes Over”, “Gettin' Over You”, “Sexy Bitch” and “Memories”; the first three of these reach number one in the United Kingdom.

His 2011 album Nothing but the Beat continues that run and includes “Where Them Girls At”, “Little Bad Girl”, “Without You”, “Titanium” and “Turn Me On”. In 2018, he releases 7, which features collaborations with J Balvin, Nicki Minaj, Jason Derulo, Sia and G-Eazy, among others, and also includes twelve tracks under his Jack Back alias.

Kelly Rowland collaboration and later work

With singer Kelly Rowland, Guetta records “When Love Takes Over”, which Billboard later names the number-one dance-pop collaboration of all time. In 2019, he starts the future rave movement with Morten Breum, and they release the New Rave EP in 2020. Guetta and Sia also reunite for “Let's Love” in 2020.

Recognition

Guetta sells more than 10 million albums and 65 million singles worldwide, and his music passes 14 billion streams. He is voted number one in the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs poll in 2011, 2020 and 2021. His awards include two Grammy Awards, an American Music Award and a Billboard Music Award. In 2021, he sells his recorded music catalogue for a reported sum in the region of US$100 million.
