Davey Asprey

Davey Asprey is a trance DJ and producer from Walsall, UK, working in EDM and electronic music. He begins listening to new wave in the late 1980s and early 1990s, and develops an interest in dance music that leads him into trance.

Early development and influences

His DJing interest starts after watching Eddie Halliwell, who remains his main influence. He is also influenced by Marcel Woods, Sander Van Doorn and Marco V. Before focusing on trance, he plays a range of styles including techno, tech-house, tribal house, house and electro.

Career

Asprey makes his first appearance at Nailed in Leicester in 2005 and then secures residencies across the UK. He travels to Ibiza in 2004 and 2005, and makes his debut there in 2007, which becomes an important step in his career. After that, he plays alongside David Forbes, Jack Richards, NuSense, Tina Martin and Princess S.K.B.

Other work

He also works for Goodgreef, Eddie Halliwell, Judge Jules, Tylor Leigh, Barry Connell and PFA. In addition, he carries out web management and PR/promo work for Adam Sheridan, Greg Downey and John O’Callaghan, and helps launch and co-promote the GroundZero Project/Events in the Midlands and the north of the UK.
