Dave Burland
Dave Burland is a folk singer and guitar player from Barnsley, United Kingdom. Born in 1941, he begins performing professionally in 1968 after leaving the Police Force.
Career
He works in folk music for around three decades, during which he tours widely, performs at clubs, concerts and festivals, and records several solo albums, many of which are no longer available. He also makes session appearances on records by other artists, including Kate Rusby, Nic Jones, Richard Thompson, Mike Harding, Tony Rose and Bob Pegg.
After that long period, he takes a proper job and is active only occasionally between 1998 and 2007. He then retires again in 2007.
Collaborations and associations
His recording and session work links him with a range of British folk musicians. He is also associated with Hedgehog Pie.
