Darkeye is a four-piece metal band from London, UK. Guitarist Dean Hanfrey and drummer Frazer Plank form the core of the group after the break-up of technical metal band Violation Complex. They set out to keep the progressive rhythms and heavy sound associated with that earlier band, while writing material that is more accessible and more expansive in scale.

Dave Winter joins on second guitar and Jeff Barber plays bass, completing the line-up. The band writes material for an EP released in 2013 and, after recording, builds a steady live profile with regular performances and favourable reviews.

Darkeye’s sound is described as progressive metal, combining technical influences with heavier and more epic song structures.
