Darius Syrossian

Darius Syrossian is a UK dance music DJ, producer, label owner and radio host. He is associated with house, tech house, techno and minimal techno, and is a member of Persica.

Career

He is a VIVa MUSiC artist and producer, and also presents the VIVa MUSiC radio show. He runs the breakoutaudio label and works as an engineer for other DJs who want to release music. He also spends a large part of his career touring internationally as a DJ.

Before focusing more heavily on production, he is involved in the UK vinyl record shop scene, including Global Beat and Crash Records. He is described as having been active in the scene for a long time and as moving into production from DJing and label work.

Releases and collaborations

As a producer, his music appears on VIVa MUSiC, 8bit, Area Remote, Monique Musique, We Dig.Music and Natural Rhythm, among other labels. His own work is released alongside collaborations with Nyra and Paul Woolford, and he also has projects with David K from France.

His breakthroughaudio label releases music by Julien Chaptal, Florian Kruse & Nils Nuernberg, Pier Bucci, Paul Woolford, Audiojack, Emerson Todd and Deepchild, among others, with further releases mentioned from Santos Resiak, William Kouam Djoko and Horatio.

Radio and label activity

The VIVa MUSiC radio show is broadcast in 33 countries and is downloaded widely through iTunes and SoundCloud. Guests on the programme include David K, Lauhaus, Boris Werner, Coyu, Guti, Kruse & Nuenberg, Brothers Vibe, Kabele Und Libe, Mendo and Hector Couto.

He is also one of the main members of Steve Lawler's VIVa MUSiC record label family.

DJ work

He plays at clubs and festivals across the world, including appearances at Miami WMC, Extrema Festival in Eindhoven, Sónar in Barcelona, Kazantip Festival in Ukraine, ADE in Amsterdam and Space in Ibiza for Kehakuma. He also appears regularly at Sankeys in the UK and tours with Steve Lawler in cities including Madrid, Antwerp, Vilnius, Amsterdam, Montreal and Toronto.

He is also connected with a selling dance track from 2010 with Luis Conte.
