Daniel Shaw
Daniel Shaw is a child singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who writes and performs his own music. He plays guitar, mandolin, double bass and harmonica, and performs mainly in the Bristol and Glastonbury area. He also works in a collective of three songwriters called Shaico and performs as a solo artist.
Career
Shaw is course manager of the Music ND at Strode College. He begins his career in the 1990s as musician in residence at Tacchi-Morris Arts Centre, where he writes and performs music for dance, theatre and film. His work appears at domestic and international festivals.
Influences and performances
He makes an inspirational trip to Memphis, Tennessee, where he meets David Porter and local producers. He also performs at Johnny Cash’s first venue.
