Daniel Romano

Daniel Romano

Daniel Romano is a Canadian musician, poet and visual artist from Welland, Ontario, where he is based. He is active as a solo artist and also records as Daniel Romano's Outfit. Born Daniel Tavis Romano in 1985, he is associated with country, alt-country, folk and rock.

Career

Romano is also known for his work with the band Attack in Black. His solo catalogue includes Sleep Beneath the Willow, which is longlisted for the 2011 Polaris Music Prize, and Come Cry With Me, which is longlisted for the 2013 Polaris Music Prize. If I've Only One Time Askin' is nominated for a 2016 Juno Award for Adult Alternative Album of the Year.

He releases two albums, Human Touch and Nerveless, as simultaneous surprise releases in 2018. In 2020, he issues several albums in quick succession, including newly recorded material and archival recordings, and then records a series of albums with a band under the name Daniel Romano's Outfit.
