Danakil

Danakil is a French reggae group from Marly-le-Roi, France, formed in 2000. The group centres on Balik and is associated with roots reggae. It develops a sound that combines reggae with world music.

Early activity and first album

The band’s first album, Microclimat, appears in 2006. After the album’s success, Danakil continues its live activity and tours with other groups, including Saïan Supa Crew and Groundation.
