Dan Stone is a UK trance DJ and producer associated with uplifting trance, progressive trance and melodic trance. He builds his reputation through club appearances and production work, and he becomes known on the trance circuit through early support from major DJs and radio shows.

Career

He works as a regular DJ on the club circuit for 10 years, and he establishes himself as a producer over the following two years. His first solo single, Tauro, is released in April 2005 and quickly attracts worldwide attention. The track receives plays from Armin van Buuren and Paul van Dyk and reaches number 9 in the World DMC trance charts.

He goes on to remix and produce several other tracks. His biggest hit is Made In Bahrain, which is signed to Anjunabeats. The track receives support from Paul van Dyk, Tiësto, Above & Beyond and Judge Jules, who playlists it on his Radio One show. Armin van Buuren also names it his “Tune of the Week” on A State of Trance.

DJ work and radio

Alongside production, he keeps a busy DJ schedule with appearances for Vaccine at Turnmills in London, Wildchild at SE One in London, Slide in Liverpool and the Gatecrasher unofficial afterparty at TPCC in Sheffield. He also holds local residencies for BIG and Radi8 in East Anglia and presents a monthly internet radio show called Melodic Vibes on ETN.fm.
